275/45 20 Tire Q's

I've finally ordered my 20" Rockstars and 275/45 General Grabber UHP's. The wheels will be here by tomorrow, but the tires are another story. They are back-ordered everywhere I look, and it's looking like I might have to choose another tire unless I want to wait til mid summer for them. Is there anyone that can recommend a tire with those EXACT specs?

Here's a link to the tires

Why did you pick the 45? The stock 20's have 275/55/20's on them. Is that version of the tire more readily available to you?

How about these - they come in that 275/45/20 size, and look fantastic: http://www.coopertire.com/html/produ...&artw=45&rd=20

None right now, but I plan on dropping the rear about 3" soon after the new shoes.

Those do look pretty cool, but the price tag isn't very nice. The Grabber's were only $130 a piece.

The Kumhos don't look too bad. Might be a good secondary?

Way to small man... putting 285 50 20s on mine in the spring, that's gonna be too low protection and look god awful

Too small IMO. Plus the ride will be terrible without any sidewall. 275/55/20, 285/50/20would be about right on a lowered truck.

I have 275/45/20s. I dont like the look. I wish I went 275/55/20 or 285/50/20. I can sell you mine for a good price if you want. They are 95%.

Well the guy at Discount Tire convinced me to get the Yokohama Parada Spec-X's. I also decided to bump up the size to 285/50 20 based on everyone's comments. The reviews are higher than the General's, even though the tread pattern doesn't look nearly as cool. Maybe in a few years, the General's will be in stock and I can get those. But the Parada's look like they will be really good. They're also the same price as the General's, so I was happy about that.

I'll update this thread with oodles of pics whenever I can get out there and have them install it all.

Good choice man. The wheels I have sitting in the shop have 285 55 20s on them. High performance tire and big bucks. Good year is one of the only companies that makes them for that size and it's a low mileage sticky tire. 285 50 20s have a nice balance of sidewall and width and is a common size

I'm still not a fan of the tread pattern, but I probably won't notice it with those 20" Rockstars under them.
