I just put Trail Grapplers on a few weeks ago and they are great. Rain, snow, ice--no problem. Mine are VERY noisy between 50 and 55mph though. It's not a vibration, just a resonance that rattles your brain.

 

i dont care about the noise. i like the annoyance of it for some reason

 

These are the best truck tires I've ever owned. Excellent dry, wet, snow, sand and mud performance.

My only complaint, if you can call it that, is these things are hard as a rock when the weather is around 0 degrees but after a few miles they soften up.

I wish they made them in a 315/70/18, so my next tires will probably be the Toyo MT in that size.

 

I intended to do Terra Grapplers and then saw the Trail Grapplers so off to the tire store that I trust I go. After discussing it with the owner, I opted for the Terra Grapplers after all. For me it came down to wet performance. I go with mud tires on my serious wheeling rigs that see more extreme conditions but my 07 F150 will see mostly dirt roads and a lot of snow and rain as well. I wanted something that would handle mud ok but do well in the rain and snow too. The Terra Grapplers are by no means a mud tire but they are pretty aggressive for an all terrain. I guess it comes down to what you will be driving in most. I don't do a lot of mud so the Terra Grappler was a good choice for me. Did you look at the Nitto website? You can see their own ratings for quietness, comfort, and wet, dry and off road performance. The Trail Grappler gets ranked higher than the Terra Grappler for off road performance but is ranked lower for wet and dry performance, which is on road driving. The ride comfort and quietness are lower with the Trail versus the higher ranking for the Terra too. That is typical though as more aggressive tires for off road pay the price on road.

 

I have the terras now in a 33. They have been a great tire i think. Road worthy and have wore very well. other then i only have 13000 miles on them. I think a guy would get bored with them by the time they wear out. Im wanting a more aggressive tire though. Ill be honest its more of a looks thing for me also. I dont plan on taking this thing through trails and crap. just hunting and fishing, and at work. I dont even care about noise. i kinda like a nice humm. Lets those jerks that drive 5 miles an hour to get out of the way of this jerk driving 80.ha. anyway thanks for the posts everyone.

 

I have got right at 15,000 miles on my 35's. I have had no complaints or problems. They are heavy, and they are very stiff. But I just say that means that they are well made. I believe I am running 42psi. Definitely do NOT want to over inflate these babies. I ran 50 at first too, and felt like I was bouncing and about to break something when i would hit a hole or bump. I can see my set going to 40-45,000.

 

Thats pretty good id say for any truck tire. I dont like to run mine clear to the nubs though either. it will take me a few years to put 40k miles on my truck anyway. Ok so note to self dont put 50psi in them.haha unless you are feeling crazy.

 

Love them got around 7000 on the trails. Drive daily on freeways, even push them at 80-80 mph at times and humms awesome with no problems

 

Well I guess I will be the first to say it, I hate mine. I have a little over 10k on mine and they are wareing faster than my mud grap's. did. I don't know if it has something to do with the Texas heat or what but a friend if mine had them and hated them as well.

 

Can you post a pic of the wear? What PSI are you running?

That seems too low for E rated tire..based off charts and stuff ive read. Im not a tire guy, so im not for sure, just sounds low.

 

Discount tire did it so I'm not positive on the psi I can check after work and see what the tire says it should be.

 

Way too low for these tires. Consensus on here is to run them at around 45 psi.

 

I got my tires from NTB. They filled them to about 32 psi or so. i noticed the tires felt a little different and after i read a while and seen some OCD guys on here posting about tires and pressure and stuff there is a certain recommended pressure based on class of tire. each class is a certain percent of the MAX tire pressure. ill see if i can dig that up
