Stock fx4 rim width

So I plan to put on 325/65/18 Nitto Terra Grappler tires. Before I order them I want to be sure they will fit on the rim width wise. My tire size calculations say that size tire is good for a 9-10 inch wide rim. The stock tires are good for a 7.5 to 9.5 inch rim. I just want to be sure these will fit before I order them. Thank you.

A 325mm wide tire is too wide for the OEM 7.5 inch wide wheels.

I don't think it is too wide and I have seen it done. Philly164 has that exact same size tire on his oem fx4 wheels.

The 325/65R18 requires a rim width of 9" - 12". I would not recommend putting them on the stock wheels. Might have trouble with the bead sealing, run the risk of the tire coming off the wheel, will wear the center of the tires out sooner then the sides, ect... Just not a good set up.

I know a ton of people (friends) that have run that set-up and not once ever has a( tire come -off the wheel),,never an issue with tread wear either!!!!!!! Ideally yes,,it would be much better to have a wider wheel with that size tire,,as i have conversed with wandell on this very subject,,maybe (as in my case) money is'nt available right now for new wheels,,but i would'nt suggest to the kid that his tires are gonna come-off,, I have never heard anyone have that happen to them!!!!!

camo,,,my wheels are the same as yours,,yes you can run those tires,,but,,that does'nt mean that i dis-agree with what has been stated above,,ideally a wider rim is what you or i should be rolling on,,and in the future (hopefully the near future)i am going to get new wheels, but i have been rolling this set-up for over 20,000 miles on this truck, about 50,000 on an 06 that i previously owned, have 3 buddies that ran same set-up with no issues at all, plus there are more guys here running 35's on stock with np,so i think you will be okay,,just try to save for some wheels in the future like i'm trying to do,,ha ha,, good luck buddy!!!!!!!!

I am running 35x12.50's on my stock rim and have had zero problems with it. I have pictures in my gallery of them. The don't bulge out and had no problems mounting them. But it's like been said before Ideally it is better to have a wider rim. Not necessary though.
