That is correct. Keep in mind as you go to wider wheels you can only tuck them in but so far before you have clearance issues with more backspacing causing your tires to potentially hit the ball joint on the upper control arm. The factory wheel I am running is 7.5" wide with 5.5" of backspacing.

jerrybizzle - thanks for filling in here.

Let me know if more detail or clarification is needed.

I ordered a set of Gear BlackJack 18x9,18mm offset with a 5.7 back space, with a set of Toyo AT LT325/60/18. The owner of the shop was great about ordering. He done some research and said that they should fit with no problems. He is going to test fit one tire before installing all 4. If they don't fit, he will order a smaller size for no charge. He said he does this for all custom tires they order. Come on next friday.

I hope they fit. I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas. I've been putting off this upgrade for a while. Next will be some fender flares and step bars.

I got the tires and wheels installed and they fit great. I'll post some pics as soon as I transfer them to my computer.

Some people have painted them and others took a hair dryer/heat gun to them to restore the color. If you're going this route, might as well take a look at your hood cowel as well - as those also tend to fade.

My hood cowel is worse. I'm planning on painting it when I get a break from the weather. I haven't heard of the dryer/heat gun trick. I'll try it first. Was it easy to install the flares on your truck?
