This is why I'm against Black Wheels w/ Chrome Bumpers!

These are photo's of a truck on another forum. It's not a bad looking truck, but I personaly don't think the wheels go with the truck. As long as the owner is happy is all that matter though. I just wanted to show you guys who always want to put black wheels on everything why I'm not putting black wheels on mine or any other vehicle I'll own with chrome bumpers. Now maybe if these wheels had more chrome accents I'd feel different.

Here is a 2011 F-250. It's the same color and package as my 2010. Sterling Gray with Chrome Bumpers.

VS

Chrome wheels.

Chrome rims are alot harder to pull off too on a truck than black rims. Ive build 2 "blacked out" trucks before and you can pretty much just slap on any set of black rims and go, while with chrome you have to be more careful to go with the flow of the truck

I can agree with you on that one. To much black doesn't make the truck look tacky or like a giant reflector going down the road like chrome does. Some people want to put chrome wheels plus add a lot more other chrome items and it can get overboard. It's not that I don't like black wheels b/c I do, but only on certain vehicles.

I honestly think I have to much chrome on mine now which is why I'll eventually paint the grill and headlights.

I agree if you have chrome bumpers you really need chrome wheels.

I know some trucks are a work in progress so maybe that truck you posted will get something done. It does look confused though. Especially with the black grille and the chrome bumper and headlights.

Meh, I don't care much for black rims on silver cars or trucks anyway.

Both trucks look great to me. The one with the black wheels has a black grill, running boards , mirrors, etc. that ties in with the black wheels. Personally, I think you can mix black and chrome together. However, I agree that it is easier to go overboard when adding chrome and use too much.

I have black wheels with chrome bumpers but i have chrome accents on the rims. i think an all black rim with chrome bumpers doesn't look great so i agree fully with you guys on that but to each his own. if the owner is happy thats what counts. that is a nice truck tho.

Looks good to me. He has a black grille and other black parts from the looks of the pics and it ties it in well.

I think there is enough other black parts that it looks fine. What I think looks bad is 14 inch wide wheels with a 13.5 inch wide tire. Who would do that?

Wanted to try the black wheels but am stuck between all black and black with machined. What's your guys thoughts? I'm looking at the fuel octane or throttle. Sorry no pics, I'm trying to figure out h ow to put them in now...
