Unhappy Time For New Tires :(

It's about that time for new tires. Time to fork out some cash.

I currently have 295/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I have had them since Summer of 2008, and it is finally time to replace them.

I'm looking for a good aggressive AT tire. I wanna switch it up so no Nitto Terra or BFG AT. What do you all recommend? I need to stay with the tire size 295/70/17 so that will limit it down a few. Also no MT tires. As much as I like them they will just be a waste of money for me since I'm not in the dirt as much anymore.

I was looking at the Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10. They seem to be cheap and have good reviews.

Anyways thanks for the replies and input. Much appreciated!

I like my michelin ltx at2's alot thay do great for city driving and they dominate the snow, but on the other hand the sidewall looks moderatly agressive, but probably not as agressive as you would like it to look. those dynapros look great ide go with htose if I were you

Hankooks, they keep catching my eye, nice looking tread pattern, good looking sidewall and good reviews

Look at the **** Cepek FC II's and the Pro Comp Xtreme AT's. They are two of the most aggressive AT's.

Thanks everyone for the replies. So far I'm still leaning towards the Hankooks.

I can't give you an honest answer, but definitely over 50,000 miles.

I rotated those tires every oil change.

Look into Kelly Safari TSR's. Very affordable and nothing but good reviews.

Thanks! I think I might settle for those. They look awesome for their price.

Also one other question.

I currently am running 295/70/17

If I go to a 285/70/17 will I run into trouble if I have to run a 295/70 for a spare tire while running the 285/70?

Agreed, but mine were mostly shot at 33k. Trying Firestone Destination AT's now.

You should be fine if you have to run a spare for a limited amount of time. I wouldn't worry about get a flat with an aggressive tire like those because I believe they are 10 ply. Also look at treadepot.com before you buy your tires locally, they have the best prices around.

I'm saving for some 315/70R17's right now

With shipping that place is more expensive than discounttiredirect.com which offers free shipping. At least to where I am at. Something to always factor in is the shipping.

I slipped on a set of Bridgestone Dueler revo 2 A/T's a few months ago. They are really quiet and ride nice. Also I put this on here before but just to let you know, If you have auto tech school near you check into what they can do. Most of them can only charge the wholesale price of the materials and no labor. I picked mine up like that and had them installed for half of the retail cost.

I've got about 5k on my Cooper Discoverer ATR's, been really happy with them, great in snow and rain.
