I agree as well. I went with the PC Muds because the sidewall wasn't aggressive enough on the AT's. Also, with 17" rims, there's not many tire choices out there. I've got 8K+ miles on them and they still look new.

I'm running these on my F350. A little bit noisy, but not bad considering the aggressive tread pattern. Probably no worse than the BFG MT.

Sidewall is pretty tough although I did "tear" one lug & sidewall after running over some concrete. I think there was some rebar sticking out. Anyway, I drove over 500 miles on this damaged tire. Of those, over 175 of the miles were towing my fifth-wheel! I'll be mounting that tire as my spare.
