Search level and u will get tons of pics. Look under suspension instead of wheels/tires. Not sure what year your truck is but 3 inch is not soo good on the cv angles. I wouldn't go any more than 2.5. I put 2 inch on my 06 and it sat level. If 04-05 the 2.5 should get u there. I went with nearly 33s (32.8). Even with the 2 inch u could fit 35s with proper offset/bs wheel.

^^^....what he said! If you need 3 inches, go with a body lift.

X3, don't go more than 2.5 with a level kit. 3 inch just makes harsh angles up front.

Another key piece that was asked in a earlier post is the year model of your truck, new than 08 you do not even need 2.5. On those 1.5 can get the job done, and would not go anymore than 2".

Ignore the above information. That was all assuming 04 and up truck. I'm no expert on the 01 style. Always important to post the year of truck as it makes a significant difference.

Since you have a 2wd might want to look into a spindle lift.

Yeah, that's an important piece of info.
You have a lot of options with a 97-03 4x2. You can gain up to 2 inches by using Daystar coilspring spacers. You can gain another 3.5 inches with replacement lift spindles. A 3 inch Performance Accessories body lift is another option. Of course you can combine all three for 8.5 inches of lift relatively inexpensive.

Been working, but I will have all my new parts on the truck on Friday, putting a 3" leveling kit in the front with a 1" block in the rear with 33x12.50x17 BFG ATs, should have time to complete it and post somewhat decent pics by friday, will let you know, I have a 08 STX 4.6L 4x4, newer and completely different since its a 4x4, but it might give you an idea, although these components on your truck would look very different
