BFG AT T/A KO fitment

Hey guys,

I have a 2004 f150 with 20x8.5 American Racing "Razor 6" wheels. I currently have 305/50r20 cooper zeon ltz tires on it but they're worn out and I want to get some BFG AT T/A KO tires now. I'm putting some bilstein 5100 shocks onto the truck with the 2" level option on the front.

My question is will 285/65r20 tires fit if the wheels have a 20mm offset with 6" backspacing? Or would I be better off getting 305/55r20 BFG's?

Thanks!

The 305/55-20's (33x12.50) will fit for sure. I'm pretty sure the 285/65-20's (35x11.50) will fit. This is asuming you have a 4x4.

Yep it's a 4x4. I've just heard that the backspacing could be an issue. I could be wrong though.

With 6" of BS you should be ok, it'll be close though.

The OEM 20's are 8.5 inches wide with 6.5 inches of BS. This causes some 305mm/12.50 inch wide tires to contact the upper balljoint/control arm. A 1/2 inch less BS will push the tire out enough so you should not have any issues with a wide (305mm) tire.
