time for new tires

i need input on what you guys think is the latest greatest best all around tire for my 04 fx4 screw. I want some pretty aggressive tread as i deal with mud and snow but doesnt have to be ridiculous unless there is a good tire that rides the highway fairlywell too. I tried the search but it didnt really narrow anything down.

Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac is the way to go. Nice, aggressive tread, and still rides well on the street.

We've been seeing about 40K out of those tires for mileage at my shop.(Goodyear in Ann Arbor, MI)

I sell a TON of those tires. Haven't had one complaint yet.

Width? I have 8 inch wide wheels and specs for those tires call for a minimum of 8.5. I hear of people mounting them on 7.5 inch wide factory wheels but would like pics of them on 8 inch wide to see how they look.

They only come in 17x8 with 6x135 bolt pattern (backspacing of 5.5). They also come in 17x10 but no matching bolt pattern so his has to be 17x8 unless he has adapters. Also, the backspacing of the 17x10 is 4.5 so his truck would look like it was a roller skate if he had that backspacing and adapters.

I have toyo mt's right now and have around 80000kms on them now and abused them and they still got around 10000kms left. I know people in construction with these tires in their diesel fleet trucks with 90000km on them. These are the longest lasting MT's I've seen so far. That being said I've heard good things about mickey thompson mtz which are going to be my next set because I want a new look.

Hahaha, Roller skate... yeah man, just stock BS, the tires stick out just far enough for me to be satisfied and leaving the BS as is, and yes, they are 17 x 8 rims as UNC mentioned, Ultra Wheels Rogue, pretty cool looking rim for very little scratch

I definitely agree. I was surprised when I saw how little they cost. Not bad at all when you compare the price to other popular wheels.
