Wheel Options
I am sure there are already a thread on here asking about the same question as I am getting ready to, but I have yet to find it so..here goes! First off, if you cant tell, Im a girl!! So you may have to explain terminology in a little more detail than you would the 'guys'. Im not car/truck dumb, I actually grew up with tools in my hand and can do most things myself..for instance, I replace the o rings in my 02 Screws EATC myself and fixed the AC.. I was very proud of myself to say the least..anyhooo..I am looking to get a set of wheels and tires for my truck. It is a 2002 super crew fx4 lariat..dark grey color. I absolutely LOVE the moto metal chrome 951s. I was looking through the photo gallery and stubmled acrossed "Leveled". His setup is bad *** I think..hands down for that combo. If I remember correctly he is running a 20x9 wheel with 285/55/20 BFG AT tires..my ? is, would this be possible with a stock lift f150? I know the bolt pattern is not the 5x135 that my screw is but I read where you can get wheel adapters..do they actually work and are safe? Next ? does anyone suggest any different wheels that look similar to the MM 951? I want to stay away from any wheels with holes..like the Mickey Thompsons..nothing against them, just everyone in my home town has them and I want something different. Also, what kind of offset would i need with the stock setup? That offset mess confuses me, and I honestly do not trust any wheel/tire dealer around here so thats why I am asking the 'guys' that no there "stuff" haha Thank you all for bearing with me through this..and one last thing..IF it came down to where I had to get the leveling kit to make it work..who offers the best and how hard is it to install? Thank you all so much in advance!!!

OK, here we go. First, to level your Screw all you have to do is crank up the preload on the torsion bars. No need to buy any kit. You will need a front end alighment when you finish. As for fitment, the best looking combo on a stock 97-03 4x4 in my opinion is a 33x12.50 tire on a 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing. BS is simply a measurement. It's the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel (where it bolts to the hub) to it's rear edge. Offset is just a different way of measuring the same thing but BS is much easier to understand (at least to me). Since you want 20's, the metric size equivilent of a 33x12.50 is a 305/55-20. A 285/55-20 is basically a 33x11.50. The problem you will run into is that wheels in our 5x135mm bolt pattern are becoming scarce. Personally, I'm not of fan of bolt pattern adaptors as they can cause fitment and vibration issues. I hope this helps.
