New Wheels? Give me your opinion.

I have it narrowed down to Eagle 079 in black (18x9) or Ion Forged Thunder f161 in chrome (18x10). I think I am leaning towards the Ion but I want some opinions first. I have an 02 Screw that is charcoal with 37's Nitto Terra Grapplers going on it.

i like the Ion's better between the 2. But to be honest with the price differnce I would probally just get the eagles. Both rims represent a similar design. If $400 a rim doesnt bother you go for it.

I worked at a wheel shop in the past so I can get the wheels a little over cost. I can get the eagles for 630 and the ion for 970. The ions are on a major sale right now.

That would be my choice (ion). If you are getting them discounted go for it. Sounds like thats what you really wanted anyway.

The main reason I am leaning towards the ion is because it is a 10" wide wheel and my tire is 14" wide. Nitto recommends a 10.5" wheel. Also I am not sure how the black will mesh with the charcoal. I honestly think the eagle is the better looking wheel. This shouldn't be that hard of a decision.

Sounds like the tire made the decision for you. 9" rim is to narrow for a 14" tire

I like the Eagles. I've got a set of Eagles (not the same ones) and I love 'em. Plus the Eagles that you're lookin at kind of look like some Moto Metals.

Ions. The eagles look good but are more common.

Yeah I'd shop around on those ions a little more. Sounds like that site has an outrageous markup on them.

The Iron are forged aluminum rims, not sand cast like the eagles. $400. 00 for forged rims are not a bad price, Sand castings rims are always cheaper than forged rims anyways.

I am only paying 242 per wheel. I found out the catch is is they are being discontinued. So do I take a chance or just find something else. Just another decision I have to make. Plus it is hard finding 18x10's.
