I joined the forum shortly after buying my 2001 Screw and it's interesting that after trading in my 2005 Screw on a 2011 and wanting to get some uptaded info on wheel and tire fitment I turned to you and when you responded as you always do I realized that you'd given me wheel/tire advice on all three trucks now. Just look at your post count! I don't think the wheel/tire forum folks can thank you enough. Have fun with the Jeep, I've been trying to talk my son into one myself.

I like the JK so far. Just got off the phone with the dealership. Dropping it off tomorrow morning for them to install a 2 inch Daystar "budget boost" (similar to leveling kits on the 04-11 F-150's). Then it goes to the tire shop for some black 17x9 Eagle Alloy 197 wheels and 305/65-17 (33x12.50) BFG AT KO's.

I've never owned a Jeep but I really like the looks of the 4 door ones. There is a dark green one around here with a 6 inch lift and 35 or 36 inch mud grapplers on some black wheels. Looks pretty sweet.

I'm just not sure I could ever get completely away from a truck. Hope you enjoy it though!

It'll be out of scope/off topic for the forums here but what the heck you'll have to post pictures of the Jeep once its done.

Well, my new wheels and tires were finally installed this afternoon. The dealership installed my 2 inch budget boost last Thursday and took the JK to the tire shop for installation of my new 305/65-17 (33x12.50) BFG AT KO's and Eagle Alloy wheels. Well, Eagle screwed up and shipped the wheels with the wrong bolt pattern. They promised to overnight the correct set to us for Friday, but screwed up again and shipped them to the wrong address! Needless to say, I was not happy having a vehicle I've owned less than a week sitting at the tire shop for two days. Anyway, the wheels arrived today and the shop got them installed. The wheels are 17x9 inch Eagle Alloy 197's with 4.5 inches of backspacing. They fit great with no rubbing (on the street anyway). Here are some pics of the JK.

Family is 1st, toys are 2nd. Good luck with the Jeep. I had a Jeep Wrangler & had to buy a 5th wheel & tire combo 2 different times. Maybe you can buy a Ford Raptor after you pay for the Jeep. I am sure Ford will have some awesome trucks available when you are ready. It is good to know you still have the Expedition~
