Another rim offest/backspace question! motometal 951

im ordering moto metal 951s in black tonight. 18 x 9s. i have 285/65/18 duratracs on stock rims ill be wrapping around the new motometals.

anyways i need help fast!
what one is best?
offset: -12 backspace: 4.53"
offset: 18 backspace: 5.71"
offset: 30 backspace: 6.18"

i want them to stick out just a hair wider but not stickin out like crazy.
which is which, higher number closer in it is? or vis-a-versa?

i think 18 is what i hear is the right one but how much of a differance is the 18 from the 30?

any help appreciated!

Sounds like u have the right idea. The negative offset and not as much bs would stick out significantly. The 18 would stick out a half inch or so farther than the +30. I am pretty sure the +30 would be similar to stock specs. If u want them to stick out a bit would say go with +18. Seems like a happy medium. The -12, +18 and +30 are in millimeters. So the difference between +18 and +30 is mainly in the backspacing.12 mm isn't that much difference. Maybe 1/4 inch. Convert if u want for more accurate actual difference. .47 inches difference in bs plus the 12mm diff in offset would be your total difference between the +18 and 30.

5.71 BS if you're running 33's without a lift. The 4.5 if you're lifted

6.1 inch BS will stick out approximately an inch farther than stock.
5.7 will stick out about 1 1/2 inches farther than stock.
4.5 will stick out about 2 1/2 inches farther than stock.

So if I get the + 30 backspace and I have 285/65/18 duratracs which are technically 33s, will they rub when turning. I don't want ANY rubbing!! If I'm clear and have plenty of room with the + 30 ill get them cause I don't want them to stick out much further! So +18 or +30? Still unsure and need assistance!

Do u plan on leveling? I think either of your choices would rub very minimally if at all stock with no level. If u spend a few dollars on a level (mine was 200 installed and aligned), your truck will look better and you will have no worries about rubbing.

Either will be fine since your leveled and they are just 33s. Now u just have to decide if u want to keep them tucked or sticking out. I would go with +30 if u don't plan on full lift kit

Think it will look great. And if u want slightly bigger tires with just the level in the future, I think u will be glad u stayed fairly close to stock wheel specs. One last question is do u have 285 as stated in this post or 295 as your signature says?

If you don't want rub and still want a decent width get the 18 offset.
