2010 FX4 wheel fitment question

Called the local tire store about aftermarket wheels (Diamo 17K) in an 18x10 -neg 12mm offset 6x135 bp. They said these wheels would not fit my truck without a 6 inch suspension lift? They did not ask what size tire I would be running only the wheel would not fit. This is a fairly common wheel size for this site, and I plan to only run a 33x12.50 with a Rancho 4" lift.

I don't see why this will not work? Maybe I'm missing something and want to make sure before I order. Thanks

You should have no problems running a 33/12.50 on that wheel with a 4" lift. The Rancho tends to lift a bit more than 4" (if I remember correctly) so I'll bet you could fit a 35/12.50 with moderate trimming. Not saying that's what you want to do but it should make you feel a bit more comfortable about running 33/12.50s. I can tell you that with a 6" lift and 35/12.50/20s (Trail Graps too so they're a big 35/12.50) on those wheels I rub every once in a while. I could do more trimming and solve most of my rubbing but it only happens occasionally so I'm not really worried about it.

Thanks for the reply. The other trucks I have seen locally have got a little over 5" with the Rancho lift on the newer model trucks.

Do you know how much you are out past the wheel well with your set up? Thanks!

I've measured before but I can't remember the exact dimensions. Just guessing off the top of my head I would say they stick out about 3" in the front and a bit less in the rear due to the increased track width of the Fabtech lift.

Here are a couple pics of the stance with these wheels, 35/12.50/20 Trail Graps and a Fabtech lift:

That is a perfect stance. One of the best looking new trucks I have seen.
Thanks for the input

Wandell, Do you think it would be fine for those wheels with a 4" lift?

18x10 -12mm
