Rubbing sound left front tire

I have noticed a rubbing sound that isn't constant and stops when the brakes are applied but comes right back after they are released. It will go away if the truck sits a bit but then after using the brakes a few times it comes back. It seems like one spot comes around in the rotation and makes the sound and it gets faster as I speed up. The brake pads are thick they were replaced about 10,000 miles ago and I have 51000 on an 07 SCrew FX4. However one point is that the guy who did my brakes said that the pads really didnt need replacing, but that he noticed that they were wearing uneven. Just prior to the brake job the squeal / rubbing sound started and thats why I thought I needed new brakes then. Again, Im no mechanic but if I had to guess it seems like the brake pad is getting hung up and rubbing. Does anyone know what possibilites it could be? Again the pads and rotors were replaced 10000 ago.
