Aftermarket Rims: Trouble with Alignment...

Anyone not able to align their truck due to the aftermarket rims they bought? I recently installed a leveling kit on new KMC rims and was going to get it aligned...Too bad I cant. The machine supposedly wont fit the depth or something like that. I have to put my stockers on inorder to align it. If there is a solution, tell me por favor.

I always get my truck aligned with the stock rims on. No need possibly getting the nice wheels scratched up by a dopey alignment tech.

yea i guess so, better safe than sorry. Its just such a hassle. Im just worried that it will be aligned for the stock tires, not the mud tires. I know it shouldnt matter, but just in the back of my mind.

Wheels and tires have nothing to do with an alignment, the steering and suspension is what is aligned due to the leveling kit.

Nope. Your truck rides on the wheel/tire combo, that's it.

A lot of shops are like that around where I live so I let my offroad shop do mine since they work with all the aftermarket stuff

detroitbuilt,

The information Stealth gave you is correct. The alignment process aligns the suspension. The wheels / tires have nothing to do with it.

Put on your old wheels, let 'um scratch them up. Then, change to your good ones.
