Question lifted truck, now what to do about spare?

so i recently installed a 6" lift, and 35x12.5x17 " tires and new wheels. obviously my old spare wont fit anymore so what should I do? I guess I should buy a used 35" tire and a crappy wheel but I dont know where to put it. im not really crazy about taking up half of my bed with a spare rack(and I dont have the funds).I red that you can put the stock spare on as long as its in the front. but still I dont like the sound of that.

I already looked at the other post about this topic from awhile ago but it didnt get very popular so I still dont have all of my answers

Your t popular answer is going to be keeping the original and use it when you need to ONLY in the front as mentioned. A 35" spare is not going to fit underneath. You'll have to keep it in the bed.

This is a scenario where you really have to play the odds! What are the odds you'll have a flat tire?? What are the odds you'll leave a spare on (if you do have a flat) more than a few miles/more than a day or so to replace the flat??

Those are EXTREEEEEEEMELY remote odds. You're gonna buy a 35" tire and soak up all that bed space based on those odds??

Dude, get the TireGate prerunner series. SO SICK. I have seen them on numerous trucks and they are so dope. They don't take up much room and you still have the practicality of a bed without taking up so much space. I would get one but I have a shell on my truck so it wouldn't work out very well.

Also, I think it would look extra sexy on your truck since you have a pre runner look to your truck.

Are you sure a 35 inch tire won't fit in the stock location on the 04-08 trucks? A 35 will fit in the stock spare location on the 97-03's unless you have a custom or aftermarket exhaust in the way. Take a look under your truck and see how much room you have.

They're like 900 bucks.

Iirc I think someone has fit a 35" tire under the bed. I fit one under my 98 but the frame rails are wider apart on the obs like I had

I don't know how much they are, but, if they are $900 then forget it!

I'd rather make one myself!

Where I live no ons has these. What is the appeal? Saw one on a truck and that's cause he was from Texas. Just to be loud and obnoxious?

I'm pretty sure a nice worn 35 will fit in the stock spare location. May have to be on a stock size wheel though.

A 35" tire should fit, but it will be tight. I put a 33" tire under there with room left.
