general grabber at2??
Hey guys I'm gonna be needin new tires before winter comes this year, and i was lookin into the general grabber at2. I was just wondering if any of you have had experience with them and if they are a good performing tire. The tire looks a lot like a bfg a/t. I'm not looking to spend a whole heck of a lot on tires so this i why i was thinkin about the generals. Any other recommendations welcome also! Thanks guys

Fantastic tire....
Excellent off-road traction, relatively quiet for an AT on the highway, and good wear....not to mention that I think they look awesome.
Don't hesitate. I would put them up against any AT tire in the market.
I have a set of LT275/70-18 getting ready to go on my rig after a front end level.

They seemed like a great tire from the reviews, unfortunately they are on national backorder for the West Coast. I think the only set I could find in the 275/70/18 size were from tirerack, but since they weren't coming from Nevada to CA, the shipping would have be $225.00. This was the deal breaker for me... I waited about 45 days before I just got another tire.
Instead, I chose the Cooper Discoverer S/T MAXX which are awesome looking AT tires. They are just a few bucks more, but well worth it in my opinion.

If your open to other ATs. Look at the Kelly TSRs. I have them on my Expd, and love them. Great in wet, dry, snow, sand you name it. I have about 20k on them and they still look great. Would not be surprised to get abiut 50k out of them. I looked at teh AT2s, and like them but couldn't get a decent price locally.

Mounte, balanced, road hazard, out the door for a little less than 900 bucks. They are fairly similar to the Wranglers, and Kelly Springfield is owned by Good Year, so there is probably some family DNA. If you want teh best price, go through an independent GY dealer, not a corporate store. The corporate stores wanted about 200.00 more.
