Procomp AT or BFG AT or ??

I have Nitto Terra Graplers. Was considering replacing with BFG Ats. Someone suggested Procomp ATs. I have a 2001 F150 4X4. I would like to hear from members wanting to share infowhat tires they prefer based upon experience. I am happy with the Nittos but they are a little noisy and seem to wear out quickly. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have the procomp Xtreme A/Ts and I'm not too happy with them. They are decent in the mud, but they slide around a lot more on the road than I would like especially after a soft rain

The Xtreme a/t's are ok. Aggressive and good looking tire. Not the best in the snow but pretty good in sand. I got around 40k on mine now with a lot of life left

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still on the fence. Procomp had a buy 3 get 1 free deal at the 4X4 show in Orlando. A pretty good deal.

I got almost 60k out of my bfg AT's on my 2000 f150. No complaints on or off road. I will never buy anything else again.

i had a set of pro-comp xtreme mud terrains, the first set they set me had to be sent back, they were out of round and needed over 20 oz. of weight to balance each tire. the second set wasn't much better 2 tires needed around 8 oz. the other 2 needed close to 20 oz. in my opinion stay away from pro-comps

Surprised to read the negative comments regarding the Pro Comps. I had a set of Pro Comp Xtreme AT's on my last truck and really liked them a lot. The only complaint I would say I had was they didn't look aggressive enough for me so I ended up going with a set of the Pro Comp MT's when someone stole the AT's off my truck.

I've had several sets of BFG AT KO's over the years and they are an excellent tire. They are the standard that all other all terrian tires are judged by. As mentioned, you can easily get 60k miles out of them with normal care.

Well put Wandell. There truly an excellent tire.. I don't see myself ever buying anything different.. Some may say there pricey but you get what you pay for. There worth every penny..

I agree that BFG's are great tires. I had a set on my 80 Bronco and loved them. I'm going to try the ProComps on my f150. The most important factor in tire life is proper care. I will take good care of them and keep track of wear. When I have enough info to judge I will report back to you guys. Thanks for all of the great info. SMM
