33" General Grabbers & 2" Daystar Level (Pics)
Well, I finally got my Daystar 2" Leveling Kit installed, along with some 33" General Grabber AT2 rubber...(LT275/70-18 to be exact, 10-ply)...
I do a fair amount of interstate travel for work, so I couldn't go too large and aggressive. I've got to say that the tires ride amazingly better than the stock 6-ply Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. The Goodyear rubber had poor grip, had a roar/whine to them, and were altogether unimpressive to me - I didn't even like the way they looked. The Grabber AT2, however, is remarkably quiet and smooth for a somewhat aggressive 10-ply. I had an alignment done and ran her up the interstate a few miles - Awesome. The feel is very solid and planted and the grip is spectacular with these tires. I'm running 55lbs of Nitrogen in them since they are 10-ply. The look, in my opinion, is bad ***. I'm in the tire business and have had the opportunity to put the AT2 through some fairly tough off-road paces on a Jeep Wrangler...they BITE...I'd stack them up against any All Terrain tire on the market. Since they are on backorder in this size right now, I'm very happy to have found a set!!!!!
I also added an SCT tuner for a little extra power, firmer shifts, and adjusted the revs/mile on the new slightly larger tires.

Yea 80-85 is about right, but the purpose behind that is to be able to air them up under a load. Mine are E rated as well, started at 50 was too much dropped to 45 and was much better ride and wear. Now if I pile on some weight I will add air as needed then drop back down. Just keep an eye your your tread make sure you don't start wearing the center prematurely.

Just when I think I've made up my mind, I go and see a post like this....
I have really been debating the whole level/bigger tires. I definitely decided 100% I would go with the 275/70-18 tires because I tow a 5,000lb camper and I do not want to kill my tranny or fuel mileage too bad. I have looked at a ton of leveled pics and I was all set to go with the Daystar 1" budget boost because I have seen a lot of pics on here where 2" kit's of some brands make the truck too level for me. I think you hit the perfect combination with the Daystar 2" and 33" tires. You still have enough of the factory rake that you can haul or tow without your truck sagging to low in the back. Looks great man!!!

It's not an overly aggressive look, but I think it is a nice clean balance that is much improved from stock. Thanks for the kind words!
