20s and 33inch tires

which size is the best for my app. stock 20's no lift now but will soon get 2.5 level kit. just trying to find one that will clear the upper control arm with no rub, a problem i've heard with 305/55. just need some advise on tire size.

I know 275/60R20 will fit without issue. I put a set of Goodyear Wrangler HP's on a 2010 2WD that was leveled with shackles in the back. Gave it a nice look with the slightly bigger than stock tires on it.

On a 2008 FX4 we put 275/65R20 Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs on stock wheels. Had to trim the mudlflaps on the front just a little bit as it had just a touch of rub with that size tire on it. Those DuraTracs measure 34.1 inches tall by just over 11 inches wide.

Got one I'm working on for a guy right now at work. He's got a 2010 4WD and wants to go with 18 inch wheels, and about a 33 inch tall tire. So, I'm working wheel and tire options for him currently to get something together by the end of the week for him.

305/55 will fit fine, but 305mm is a little too wide for the stock wheels which are 7.5" wide. You can do it, but they will curve in and the tread will eventually start to cup and you won't get as many miles as you should out of them. I have 275/60/20 on my stock 4x4 with no leveling kit, and they fit fine.

285/55-20's (33x11.50) are also a good option.

I run 275/65/20's on mine, with no lift/level kit.

Any word as to what will work on the 18's? Will that duratrac fit on an '11 with no leveling kit and no trimming?
