35 inch tires.....

I just put a 3 inch lift kit on my 2004 F150 FX4 and I would like to know if 35 inch tires will fit without and problems and if they fit what is the actual size tire I would need to buy. I like the Grappler Terra Tires

Thank you.

Jake - welcome aboard! You'll find a lot of great info here and lotsa helpful people.

The Nitto Trail Grappler LT 295/70-R18 (~34.5") will definitely fit. I just put them on my leveled 2004 FX4 and have no rubbing at all. I didn't trim anything either.

I only did the Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks (~2-2.5" rise in the front); with a 3" lift, you could probably even go a little bigger.

Check out thread and pics here---> https://www.f150online.com/forums/wh...ellow-fx4.html

Did you put a 3" spacer in the front? That could lead to problems down the road

I have a pic of my black 2005 ford in my gallery. with a 2.5" leveling kit with 35inch cooper stt. Just watch your backspacing of your wheels and you can do it with little to no trimming. You are going with the Terra Grapplers? I would just go with the 295/70 just so you dont have to worry about it.

If you put a 3" leveling kit then you will go through cv axles and ball joints a lot faster. But you should be able to fit 35s as long as your wheels have the right backspace and offset.

315x70x17 BFG AT's on my old '04 Lariat with a 2 1/2" Daystar leveling kit. This is a 35x12.5x17 tire. I would limit leveling to 2 1/2 inches on the 04-05 truck's. Pic taken 6 year's ago and the leveling kit is still in with over 100k miles.

Jake - I thought you were looking at the Trail Grapplers. The Terras should fit too, though.
