On a side note, when u do get them in and they fit great, u should remove your rear block to level it and give it more of a sport truck look. Check the thread lowered 4x4 and there are some that have done it with your same year and it looks sharp.

Thanks for the tip. I would consider doing that. What is involved with dropping the rear? I assumed you had to relocate the shackles?

U can also do the shackles, which I did on two previous rigs. Only 100 installed at local tire shop. Removing the rear block is just that, take it out, simple as that. Check this. First page second post.

How does it affect spring capabilities or payload? Does it change the geometry of the arch of the springs?

Not a notice able amount, I tried playing with spring geometry combining lift hangers with lift shackles in the attempt for a stiffer ride with a very minimal gain.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, by simply removing the spacer block under the leafs and then tightening up the U-bolts will yield a 1-2" drop?
