Bigger tires on stock 17's for 2011?
Ok i had been running 285/70/17 goodyear mtr's on my 1997 and then my 98 f150 and loved them. Made a huge difference in the way the truck looked and performed in offroad and snow. Now with me getting this 2011 and not being able to really upgrade to large rims from factory im not happy with this 17's on here. They looks like go-kart rims and tires on a monster truck they are so small looking, mainly the tires.
I want to upgrade to a 285/70/17 tire again and want to see if anyone has done it and how they like the ride? If i remember right going from the size i have to the new ones would be like a 3" difference. I have really small tires on this 2011.

Not sure if u are 2 or 4wd? I have 06 with that size tires. Here is a pic before I leveled. I didn't have any rubbing at all, but just couldn't handle the rake, so I eventually got the level.
Before level
After level. More pics in my album titled my truck. Measures level from top of tire to wheelwell. Need to take a better, more recent pic on more level ground.
Obviously yours will look slightly different since it is the newer body style, but I would recommend 2 inch level if u don't want to sit nose high or mess with the rear.

I will be getting either the trail grappler mts or toyo mts within the week in 295/70/17. I also will be putting them on oem 17" wheels. Watch for a post from me by the weekend. I also have a 2011 4x4 but I am not going to level mine unless I have ALOT of rubbing that can't be fixed by a little trimming.
