ABS kicking in when I stop, everytime.

When you slide on ice and you brake and it kind of gives that spongy feeling at the pedal, that's the ABS right? Probably not the best description. Anyways now when I stop, the ABS kicks in everytime. The truck starts to slow and just as we come to the complete stop, the feeling in the pedal changes. It like lets loose but still continues to stop. What is this? And what probably needs replacing? I haven't visually inspected the brakes yet. I have a 2000 F150.

is your ABS light on?

You probably have a bad sensor if the ABS kicks in every time.

One way to check is to pull the ABS fuse (check your manual) and see if the probably goes away.

Winter is coming... get it fixed soon if its the ABS!

I pulled the fuse, #15, but when I started the truck and put my foot on the brake, it wouldn't let me put it into drive. Am I suppose to pull the fuse once it's in drive? Any other ideas?

I don't know what fuse #15 is on your truck... if it is just the fuse for ABS I don't think it would affect your ability to put it in drive.

I'm guessing the fuse you pulled is for the brake lights and it also controls the shift interlock.
