Can't figure it out

I'm trying to figure out what size tires i need but i have no idea how to read the measurement. I am getting 16x8 rims and i want 33 inch tires what is the measurement for that

285/75R16 = 33x10.50

305/70R16 = 33x12.50

Actually a 285/75-16 is closer to being a 33x11.50-16 tire.
