Need help with offset and backside setting

Need help with offset and backside setting

so now if i have a 17inch rim and 9 inches wide with -12 offset so if i have the same wheel but with 0 offset wich would stick out further? and do they make postive offsets ? if they do which stick out further positive offset or negative? What is backside setting?

The more backspacing, say 5.5 versus 4.5 the 5.5 will tuck more. + offset will tuck more and - will stick out more. so if u want them to tuck at 9 inches wide get around 6 inches of backspacing and positive offset. Let me know if I can help more.

okay here the reply was a little bit confusing so what your saying is -12 offset with 7.47 backside setting will stick out more then -12 offset with 4.47 backside setting?

You can't get wheels with a low offset and a high backspace. The lower the offset gets, then the lower the backspace gets. Most wheels with -12 offset will have 4.5" of backspace. As you go up in offset, the backspace will also go up. As jerrybizzle said, the higher you go with offset and backspace, the wheel will be tucked in more.
