Not sure what you will need to purchase. Depends upon whether Ford has changed anything for 2012. You can try to look up the part at one of the Ford sites and see if the part number has changed, or maybe someone else here can let us know if anything has changed. If nothing has changed, I don't see any reason why it would need to be OEM, assuming you can get non OEM for 09 up.

Stem type sensors can be purchased for the 07-09 vehicles also. Google "Revolution Supply Co."

I found aftermarket sensors here...$183 and change for a set of 4 for my 2011 F150 XLT. I will be ordering here soon....

From the store in my quote...they are also all over ebay, but I'm still confused. So show the flat type with they band and some say the valve stem type work. Are they interchangeable?

The OE strap type and stem type are NOT interchangeable. However there are aftermarket sensors of the stem type that were made to be used in place of the strap type. Those will work. Just have to make sure they will work with 07-08 systems.
