Will this fit?

Hey, first post, here we go.

I have a 99F150 Lariat Supercab 5.4 2wd. Im getting a 3" body lift and I'm wondering will 285/75/16s on 16x8s fit? Thanks.

Yes, that is right under a 33" tall tire, so it will fit fine with a 3" body lift.

You could probably fit a little bigger than that

On a 2wd I wouldn't push past 33's without more than 3".

Just another question so as far as i can tell the only difference between 285/75/16 and 33x12.5x16 is that the 33s are about an inch and a quarter wider. However I can't seem to find any 33x12.5x16, only 33x12.5x16.5. Does this half inch mean i have to put on 16.5'' rims (im putting on new rims anyway) or can i stay with 16s?

Yes, that last number is always the rim diameter cut out. So your rim size has to match the cutout of the tire. No wiggle room there.

Yup, what he said^. And I doubt you'll find a set of 16.5" wheels for our lug pattern anyways that aren't custom drilled or about 14" wide. But if you manage to find a set please post them up.

And your right about the 285/75 being more narrow, however make sure you check the actual specs of that tire on the manufactures website, barely any actually are they're listed size exactly.

A 305/70-16 is essentially a 33x12.50 tire.
A 285/75-16 is essentially a 33x11.50 tire.
