No masking, just sprayed the tires too. It peeled right off once dry. I cant believe this stuff is only $6 a can!

i subdued the chrome grille trim and bumper air vent trim on my old audi a few years ago with plastidip. a little sanding and two healthy coats and it was good to go. after 2.5 years, it started to chip but hell, 30 months without reapplying?

it's cheap and if you take the time to do the prep work, it'll last a good while no matter where you put it.

That's understandable, tires are crazy expensive. I just washed my wheels with Dawn dish detergent and started spraying. I didn't get crazy with the overspray, but it peeled right off. Having wheel wet on the tires previously probably aided a little too. Good luck man!

That's great to hear. Seems like some good stuff. I'm gonna be realistic and expect to have to do some touch up here and there on the wheels, but overall I think it's gonna be good. My grille is kinda faded and is my next project, hopefully tomorrow.

Yep! Search " plastidip removal" on YouTube. Works as good in person.
