PlastiDiped my 02 FX4 wheels today...

Came out pretty good for the price and amount of time invested. Took less than 2 cans to do the entire set plus a set of RC wheels I practiced on yesterday. This stuff goes on easy and dries pretty fast with a little heat from a hair dryer. $12 and about 2 hours time from start to finish in the rain! It's a different look for the time being till I decide on a wheel/tire package.
First light coat:

4 coats

Both rigs w/black wheels

Edit: picture is sideways, not sure what I did there, lol.

Had to remove the second thread as only one per subject is allowed. Thanks

Looks nice! Have been thinking about doing this on my wheels too. Want a new coat but don't want to pay the price so I've been looking into PlastiDip.

Great job! Beats spending the $$$$$$$$$'s for new wheels, plus I think they look just as good.

Wonder how the Plasti-Dip would hold up to a winter season?

Your wheels look really good.

Thanks guys! Not sure how well it will hold up this winter, but I'll find out soon as this is my daily driver. The wheels got pretty dirty driving in the rain yesterday, so I hand washed them and the entire truck today. The wheels cleaned up great, look as good as yesterday. Guess time will tell.

The black, came in a spray can. Got it at Home Depot, $6 a can. They make a clear for it, but Home Depot didnt carry it. It makes the black glossy instead of matte.
