Does anyone have Nitto Trail Grapplers? If so, please let me know about performance, sound, look, ect.

 

I love mine. They are definitely much noisier than the stock Goodyears. A noticeable sound increase. Performance... on the roads they have been great, but mine have yet to see the dirt. For looks, They are louder in looks than they are in sound. I get comments on them weekly from strangers.

 

Put 1500 miles on my set so far, I like them. They quiet down after 15 min on the highway at mild outdoor temperatures, and I think they do pretty well in snow

 

I dont have them on my truck yet, but i will. I have a set on our JK jeep now and I like them. They are noticable on noise, but a jeep doesnt have the sound deadening like my truck has. have done a little dirt driving, but no snow. Id buy them again for sure.

 

I have had mine for probably 7000 miles and I love them. To be honest I dont think they are noisy at all. maybe because I have loud exhaust or because I usually have the radio on. But either way, the noise has never caught my attention so it never bothers me.

I have taken them mudding and they do very well.
In the rain they are also pretty good. When I first got mine, i could not get them to slip in the rain even when I was trying to haha. but now that they are worn down a little they slip if im not careful. but as long as you dont drive like a maniac they are great.

 

I had them on my 02 FX4 SuperCrew. I loved them as well. Everyone above is pretty much on the money. They look great in person. Love the sidewall. I thought they performed very well. I do have to agree that they are noisier than some will let on. It kind of depends on what you're used to. If you've used mud tires in the past and are familiar and comfortable with the sound, then these are supposedly as quiet as they come. If you've only used radials or most all-terrains, you will notice an increase in sound. Not terrible, but there is a highway hum. Probably won't stop me from getting them again for my 2010 when the time is right.

 

Would love it if they had them in 40s and 18/20 inch rims.

 

For a more aggressive tire they are very quiet compared to other like tires. I've had mine on for about a year now and I expect to get 40k out of them.

 

Great tires. Grip off road is fantastic.

I love mine so far also. Have about 6k on them and have rotated twice. No noticeable uneven wear. Have had them on the beach in Galveston and once in some mud. They did well. Compared to other mud terrain tires they are much more quiet. Between the radio and exhaust I hardly notice them. One thing ive noticed also is that they dont have that horrible vibration as you slow down to a stop. I mean they do but it is very slight and seems to only be noticeable when you are almost to a complete stop.

 

I have about 2500 miles on mine.... They are not that loud and goes quiet after about 15 minutes as stated... I hit a cool spot and they started to howl pretty bad but when they warmed back up they quieted down... No complaints out of them.... Great tires in my opinion.... I also have the nitto 420S on my SUV.... I am confident that Nitto's are great tires...

How would you guys rate these tires against Toyo Open Country Mud Terrains? I have a set on my F-150 and they have been pretty good and they look awesome, especially the side walls! I have been pondering whether to go with the same Toyo's again or go with the Nito Trail Grapplers.....any info would be much appreciated!

 

I personally think if you've had success with one tire then you should stick with it. I've also eyeballed, toyo, Federal Couragia, Kumho KL71's and others but it reality why would I change from a tire that's proven to be great...

But the Nitto's are great tires... I also run the Nitto 420S on my SUV.... So this is what I stick with...
