2010 wheels on a 2005 truck?

I just bought some take-offs on craigslist. The new wheels/tires came off a 2010. They are the oem chrome wheels and use acorn-style lug nuts.

My 2005 uses a flanged lug nut.

Obviously I need new lug nuts, but are there any other issues? It looks like they are both the same size lug bolt - 14mm x 2.0. Do I need to be concerned with the seat angle or seat diameter? I would like to avoid having anything fall off while driving.

Thanks!

How about a picture of the two different lug nuts too?

I don't understand the differences you list between the lug nuts...

Depending on the wheel; you could have a lug-centric or hub-centric wheel. The lug-centric will require the use of conical nuts or bolts while the hub-centric typically will require the use of a spacer to match the center bore and use a common mag seat bolt.

Cash, thanks for the info, that's what I suspected. Doesn't look like there's too much variation on the conical nuts (but there is some).

2005 lug nut style:

2010 lug nut style:

I had a 92 F150. Loved it. Never should have gotten rid of it.

Got a 97 F150. Ford bragged about how they improved the design of the tailpipe exit by moving it in front of the rear wheel. "Reduces tail pipe damage from backing into things". It eventually destroyed the rear wheel by saturating it in carbon monoxide/steam. (I had the exhaust moved back after buying a new wheel.) And, btw, Ford fixed the design the following model year.

Got a 2005 F150. Ford bragged about how they improved the spark plug/head design to eliminate the spark plugs getting loose and shooting out. I just spent $600 having 6 broken plugs extracted at 74,000 miles.

My 97 had acorn lug nuts. My 2005 has flanged lug nuts. (I vaguely recall reading that was an "improvement") Now they are back on acorn lug nuts....

Getting a little tired of Ford bragging about how they "fix" things. It's costing me too much money to fix their fixes.

Ok, so I don't know what I'm talking about. My 2005 has acorn lug nuts. The flanged nuts must have been on the 97. My bad, sorry.
