We've got a first timer here!
Hello all, I have been using this forum for information since I bought my truck back in August, so I figured I should probably just join up! I have a lot planned for the truck and my ambitions are well ahead of the weather here in MI. I purchased the truck with a 2.5in level kit already installed, tomorrow I will be putting on a new chrome grille and 3in chrome bull bar. In the weeks ahead, a new cat-back exhaust (open to suggestions) and I plan on upgrading from the stock 17in rims (currently with 285/70's) to 20x9 Incubus Krawlers and running a 33in tire (still trying to decide on brand/look) once the salt trucks are off the road for good. I have been trying to wrap my head around offsets and thought I had it, but just got off the phone with the manager at Discount Tire who told me I couldn't run that wheel and tire combo. He told me I have a +30 offset and being that the Krawlers come in -12 or +12 that neither would fit. My plans were to run the -12 so I would stick out far enough for some fender flares. My current setup sticks out about 1/4in. According to my math, the -12's would have me out of the wheel wells by about 2in...perfect. Would anyone be able to set me straight here and tell me what I'm not considering?
Appreciate the help!

A -12mm offset on a 20x9 will require the suspension lift due to its aggressive fitment. Since you have a 2.5", it should clear. 33" tire of choice is a 275/60R20. Use this calculator as a guide:
