Question Cooper Discoverer AT3 285/65/18 on 2009 Lariat 4x4

Am I going to have a problem with rubbing? I currently have 275/70/18 BFG AT KO's. I don't not have it leveled and I am running the stock wheels. Thanks for your help.

I doubt you'll have any rubbing issues.

By the way, The AT3's are great tires. Only had mine for a couple weeks but so far I love them.

Mine are D rated and although a slighly stiffer ride they handle great.

You do know that 285/65/18 is E rated right and why are you going to a shorter tire?

The BFG's that I have now are E rated as well.

No real reason for going with a shorter tire.

How are your Coopers on road noise?

No noticable noise at all IMO.

Just make sure you rotate those coopers regularly, at my shop we have had a few sets come back from cupping and so irregular wear. I would do it every oil change. Just a heads up for both of you.

I've got 275-70-18 Cooper AT3's that are slightly taller than the 285-65's and they didn't even come close to rubbing when stock (I now have a 1" front Bilstein level). So far, I'm really liking the AT3's.

Thanks for the feedback. I ran into a friend today that gave me just about the same warning. Everything I had been reading about them had me set on getting them put on my truck, but now I am starting to reconsider.

Not really what I wanted to hear and I've never been one that's into rotating tires but sounds like I should start.

So what is the best way to rotate? front to back or switching sides front to rear? Didnt get a matching spare so that option is out .... lol. Any ideas on the best air pressure? I'm running 40 in there now. They have a max of 50.

Why are you switching from the BFG's.

I would rotate in a diagonal pattern. Lf to Rr, RF to LR and 40 paid should be fine. Hopefully we just got a bad batch when they came out and yours will wear fine, I would check the dots to see when they were built.
