tire size for 2008 lariat

i just purchased a f150 2008 lariat with 20 inch wheels. what is the largest tire i can fit without a leveling kit on the stock wheels. would also like to keep them inside fender flare. i want the terra grapplers. thanks any help would be great. been searching around but cant find much on this exact truck.

I'd suggest a 285mm or 295mm wide tire because the OEM 20's have so much backspacing. This causes some 305mm (12.50 inch) tires to touch the control armm at the upper ball joint. A 285/55-20 (33x11.50) would be a good choice. I know a 285/65-20 (35x11.50) will fit with a leveling kit, but I'm not positive that there would be no rubbing without one.

id like to know this too, right now Im running a 325 (35" tire) and it smacks the upper control arm. its just too wide. Im afraid if I go down to a 285 as that might look too small with my leveling kit

Will that fit with a 2 inch level with no worry of rubbing?

Yes. Also, to help you with sizing, in the metric system the first number is the width of the tire in millimeters.
