305/70/17 vs. 305/65/17

Contemplating new set of the bfg km2. Truck is levelled (2inch) and 4x4, wheels are 17" with +18 offset and 5.71 backspace. I'm almost positive the 305/65/17 will fit with no rubbing as it's only a half inch wider than current tires (285/70/17) the 305/70/17 seem to be about an inch larger in diameter than the others. Will the 305/70/17 fit with no rubbing or trimming? Any info is appreciated, thank you. Oh the truck is also a 2009

How wide are the wheels? If they are 9 inches or narrower, you should be fine with either size.

Sorry, they are 9 inches wide. I was worried that the additional 1+ inches of diameter wouldn't fit without rubbing the rear wheel well, not too concerned about the front valance I can trim if I absolutely had to. Really want to fill the wheel wells

Both would fit easily using OEM wheels Jaws12.

I'm running 305/70R17 BFG KM2's on 5" BS / 0mm offset with minor trimming so you shouldn't have any problems with rubbing.

hey Edwards 1687, what trimming did you have to do to get those km2's to fit? Valance only?
