MDhawkin- Awesome looking truck! What MPGs are you getting with your trail graps? I have the same setup and am getting around 10 MPG.

During the work week most of my driving is in town and I get around 13.5mpg, if I did not have such a heavy foot Im thinking I could see 14 - 14.5. Thanks for the compliments.

I've had my trail grapplers on for about 12k miles and I'm pretty set that this will be the tire I'm gonna run on any 4x4 truck I own. They are extremely quiet for a mud terrain and I've seen several trucks that have over 40k miles on their trails. I drive from New Orleans to Florida at least twice a year and they do great on that trip. They look amazing in my opinion as well.

I've towed our car trailer with our 1968 Mercedes Benz 280sl a few times and a trailer with 4 wheelers nothing too crazy, they work out great for the towing I've done.

So, I know this is an old thread - but I need some convincing too... :-)

My biggest concern is rain. I hear the terra grapplers are great in the rain. I hear that the trail grapplers are terrible when the pavement is wet.

How do you guys feel about Trail grapplers in the rain? Would you still be comfortable towing in the rain (I do a lot of towing my boat on the highway)? Are you comfortable at highway speeds in the rain on your trails? My BFG KOs stick like hell to the pavement ALL the time. They have great traction both in the rain and on dry pavement. That's my biggest concern with the Trail Grapplers

You are trying too hard and stressing too hard. Any mud tire will be inferior to any all terrain tire, period, end of discussion, stop searching. You have to decide what you're willing to accept. Will the Trail's be dangerous on a wet road?? Absolutely not. Will they stick like the Terra's or your current BFG's?? Absolutely not. But keep in mind when towing, the added weight will aide your goal rather than make the situation worse. I have mud tires and they are less than stellar on a wet road. I can spin the rear tires at will with little effort, and have to be careful in a turn when cold and wet. However I have never felt unsafe and braking action has never been an issue even though they spin easily. But, everyone's tolerance level is different. I want a mud tire, so, I deal with all the other effects of going that route.
