XD Monsters. Wheel confusion!!

Ok guys, this is a bit random, but I have an interesting question. As you may have seen, I recently upgraded to the 20" XD monsters. Love them. First time having them or any XD wheel. I noticed the other day that the spokes all seem to line up, in other words the front wheel matches the rear wheel. But the XD on the center cap did not. For instance if the rear wheel XD was perfectly straight, the front one was a full 90 degree turn forward. I thought, no biggie, when I get a chance, I'll just unbolt the center caps (Allen screws hold them on) and straighten them out. Other day was perfect opportunity as I was washing the truck. Had my trusty Allen wrench and was ready to go. Looked down and what did I see? The center caps were dead on! They matched perfectly! I just stood there. Then went and tried to wiggle them to see if they spun. Nope. Solid as could be. XD logo doesn't appear to move. If all that is true, how in the world could that happen? Did it again today. Went to lunch with my wife and the wheels were at least a quarter turn off from each other. Park in the driveway tonight and spot on again. I don't do burn outs and of course no wheelies. Any explanations? Thanks!

When making a turn doesn't the outside tire make more revolutions than the inside? If I am understanding the issue correctly this would explain what you are seeing.

Ok, now I do officially feel like a moron. That makes sense. I was only thinking in straight lines. But yes, when you turn especially backing up, the rear wheels and tires would "roll" less and pivot more and the front wheels and tires would "travel and rotate" more. Makes sense. Dumb. Sorry for wasting your time. I've never had wheels with a noticeable image on the center cap. Thanks for the help though!

Haha. Thanks. Glad I'm not alone on that one. I just would stand there completely baffled. Never even occurred to me. Your truck looks great by the way. Nice wheels!

I thought the same when I was a teen with my WS6 Trans Am, wanted the wheel spokes to be perfectly matched with each other. Thought about it and realized it was turning that threw them all off. Smoking out the back streets didn't help much keeping them lined up either.
