Thanks.
The wheels I bid on are 16 inch wheels. With the larger sidewall all-terrain type tires I plan to use for winter driving, I don't expect to have any clearance problems with the rotors. Of course, a better solution would be to park the Lightning and get something else to drive in the winter, but that's a bit too expensive for me.

Chad,

Sounds like the new wheels will work out after all. I was worried I gave you some bad advice. Let us know how the new wheels work out when you get them.

Howie.

Well, we'll see. The wheels are now bid up to my maximum bid of $175.00, and there's still another day left in the auction. If I get them for $175, fine..but I don't want to pay more for them. I'd still have to buy tires. Of course, I'd rather get another vehicle to drive and STORE the Lightning..but I have to get the money to buy one. I can't help but think of how UGLY my Lightning will be with those wheels and all-terrain type tires on it..really silly. I've seen a few decent cars around here for $1500-2000, just need that kind of money to spare, and I don't have it right now.

R.R. is right. I had '97 rims (12mm) on my '00 F150 (14mm). The smaller lug rims fit very snugly- but they do fit.

Keep getting outbid

Hi,
I keep getting outbid every time I find wheels On Ebay I like. So I'll try again here. I want 17 inch (prefer 17's because they will accept 60 series tires) 2000 or 2001 (14mm), wheels, either off an F150 or Expedition. I plan on buying NEW General Grabber AW tires from Tirerack, so I'm only looking for the wheels. Thanks alot.

Chad

Thanks for the info. I'm going to get some extra rims for the winter to put snow tires on so maybe I'll be able to get around.
