Cool 100% pure sport truck here!

speeder:
Damn they do have a 3/4 kit now! If they only would have had it out instead of the 2/3 kit when I bought my Belltech kit! Oh well, I may switch over in the future sometime.

droopy88:
Here are some pics of my truck. I got 20x9.5 Boyd Coddington Nemesis' on 275/45/20 Goodyears. Notice the tires tuck under the fenders, since Boyd Coddington custom makes each wheel to the customers truck! No ghetto ***** here!

Hey droopy88

No the sway bars don`t come with the kit. But they do make a set, and they will cost you a bout six hundred dollars. I will be getting a set for my truck later on. Wheels, tires, and lowering come first.

Thumbs up Rims and lowering

Hey 99flareside

Now that you have had your rims and lowering kit on for a while, do you think im going to have any problems after i lower mine?.
Im going with 20" Lightning wheels ( chrome ) and a Hotchkis 3/4 lowering kit. My main concern is rubbing the fender if i hit a bump.
How much space do you have between your fenders, front and back now?, and did you change your shocks?.
I have had two mini trucks in the past so i know to take it a little easier with lowered trucks. How does your truck ride with the new rims/tires and being lowered. A lot of questions, just trying to get an idea what to expect.

Thanks

Larry. ( Your truck looks real good )

Speeder, I don't think you will have any problems with a 3/4 drop. What series tire are you thinking of buying? If you go with 35, 40, or 45 then you shouldn't rub. I'm running 275/45's right now with no problems. But if you go with 50 series or higher you might rub. My current clearance between the tire and fender are: front 2.25 in. and rear 2.5 in. Yes I did change my shocks, they are Belltech Nitro Actives shocks. The only problem I have had so far was I bottomed out in the rear twice on a nasty speedbump, because the person who installed my kit didn't put in the shorter Belltech bumpstops! I'm gonna have to do that myself.

Thumbs up Lowering

Hey 99flareside

Thanks for the information. I called Hotchkis today to order there 3/4 drop kit, they said it was a misprint and it`s a 2/3 drop. I went ahead and ordered it. As far as tires go, im going to get GoodYear 275/45/20 tires. So i should be about as low as your truck when done. I will be getting there sway bar kit later on.

Thanks.

Larry.

Speeder, my truck is lowered 3/4.

Droopy88, my Belltech kit cost me $480 with the Nitro Active shocks included. Its turns out the Hotchkis kit is indeed only a 2/3 drop but the price is about $150 front springs, $350 rear springs, plus what ever the shocks cost $60 a piece maybe Speeder probably has the exact prices.

Also speeder, post pics as soon as you get your drop on!

Question Lug Nuts

Hey droopy88

Did you use the stock lug nuts?, or did you have to buy new ones for your lightning wheels.

Post Gotta get new ones

You have to get new ones, well at least I did cause I had the 6 spoke aluminum stockers, cause they had the little washer thingies to keep from messing up the holes, but my tire dealer, gave em to me free for buying tires there when they mounted them.

Limelight, I got my Belltech kit from Ultra Performance http://www.ultraperformance.com/ They only list the 2/4 drop on the webpage but the 3/4 is the same price. I opted to get the Nitro Active shocks which was another $60 but worth it IMO. Customer service was excellent too!
