winter tires...

folks,

not too impressed with the 20" pirellis on my 4x4 king ranch when driving through deep snow/drifts. do you have any recommendations for better tires in this size range that are decent snow tires, but not too damn loud on the pavement? thanks!

Blizzaks, although I can't vouch for the noise with 20" tires. Just got a new 2013 and can't afford winter tires this year. Had them on my 2000 F150 and didn't have an issue with noise. Also have been using Blizzaks on both of my cars. Just avoid running them when it warms up as heat is the longevity enemy. I put them on around Thanksgiving and take them off at the end of March (hoping for no April surprises).

I use Michelin X-Ice. Just as good as Blizzaks. Totally quiet.
