285/75/18 Anyone?

Does anyone run a 285/75/18 on their truck? Its finally time for me to drop the money on some new tires. Been thinking of getting this size compared to the
275/70/18. Any pics would be greatly appreciated!! I'm torn between the two sizes. Any advice would be great. Btw - I am probably going to buy the new Toyo Open Country AT II.

Thanks guys.

Im getting ready to order the 285x70x17 Toyo AT II for my '03. There's not going to be much difference in those 2 sizes, I'd do the 285 but thats just me.

I'm looking at the Toyo AT II Extremes in this size myself.

Can't decide between these and the 295/70r18 Trail Grapplers. :/

285/75/18 is nearly 35 inches tall and only 11 inches wide. imo it will look weird. i run a 275/70/18 toyo mt and i like it. just a hair over 33 inches tall and just under 11 inches wide, so its like the 33x12.5 but not as wide so it wont throw rocks down the side on my truck or float on snow and mud. i guess what type of look are you going for? just remember with 35s youll need to reprogram the speedo and possibly regear, even with 3.73 if you have it.

these are both 275/70/18s

on ats

my truck on mts

They are right around a 1/2" taller than Nitto Trails and 1/2" narrower than Nitto Trails. Shouldn't be that big of a difference in actual size.

I definitely don't want a tire that looks super narrow and I don't want to regear my truck to accommodate the 35" tire. Maybe the 275/70/18 will be a better choice. I was just wanting to fill up the wheel well after putting on my leveling kit.

That's why I was hoping someone would post pics that had already purchased these tires in that exact size.

ya i understand. i think 33s fill out leveled wheel wells just fine, and 35s are just "stuffed"
