Browsing for wheels tonight. I used to have Mickey Thompson Classic II's with 4.5 inch backspacing. I have seen some wheels online that are 4.0 inch backspacing. Are these OK for my truck? They will push the wheel 1/2 inch "out" compared to my previous wheels, correct? Would these not fit around brake calipers? Thanks!

 

They'll fit fine, they'll just put some more stress on the bearings than the ones with 4.5" backspacing.

 

Are they the same width? If not, that changes how much they stick out also.

 

Wandell, thanks, I forgot the new wheels are only 8" wide compared to my 16x10's I had on before.

Your current wheels will stick out 1.5 inches farther than those 8 inch wide wheels.
