2012 Ecoboost F15O offset question?

Alright guys so after badgering my brother for driving a ford his whole life I bucked up and got a 2012 ecoboost and joined the forum. So far the truck has exceeded every expectation I had for a vehicle but brought me to my next hurdle; Its time for a nice set of rims and tires. Now I'm from the japanese car scene so after all my research to try and get some cement information on my truck setup..I've become ever more confused.

I have a 2012 F150 eco supercrew 4x4 lariat
NO level kit as I will be towing lots of toys

So far the "mud terrains" and "nitto trail grapplers" have caught my eye as I'm a fan of the lower profile offroad tires.

The grapplers are 295/55 OR 65/20 (Decided on 20" rims but not the profile)
--Will this size fit with no rub? or should I be looking closer to a 275 depending on offset?

Which brings me to my Final and Main question...

I'm looking at some 20" rims but cant figure out a good offset in order to stick the tires out slightly but not obnoxiously (I live in the city) as well as being able to have a decent to slightly obnoxious lip.

I JUST DON'T WANNA HAVE WHEEL ISSUES WITH MY NEW GIRL.

Thanks in advance

Personally, I'd go with a 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of backspacing (or slightly more) and the 295/60-20's.

Do you think with the 5" backspacing I'll need some
Fender flares?

I don't think you will need flares, but you may want them. Just a matter of personal taste and how "aggressive" you want the stance. Most people with "off road" style trucks prefer the wheel/tire combo at the edge or slightly outward of the wheelwells.

I would suggest checking with mrwheeldeal.com. They do the math for your set up and tire / wheel choice. They also have some of the cheapest prices around. Got my last set from them.

i run a 275 on a 9 inch wheel and am happy with it. i stepped down from a 12.5 inch wide wheel (305) because i was having some rubbing issues at full lock. the 275 stands up taller compared to the 305 imho. the 305 just seemed to "roll" over or bow out too much for my taste. but i think you will be happy with the 275 or 295, nitto trail grapplers are great tires. as far as offset, if you stick with a 9 or 10 inch wide wheel and stay inthe positive offset range you wont stick out more than an inch or so and shouldnt have any rubbing issues. what were you driving in the jdm market lol
