What is this line?

My truck lost brakes last night, filled the reservoir up twice just to get home. Found the leak to be coming from this line in the front right wheel well, the one on the left.

Is this line called a hydraulic hose? Looks easy enough for me to replace on my own so I want to do it but need to ASAP! If anyone can confirm this hose for me so I can order it i'd appreciate it!

Also, best to do the drivers side also? If the passenger side is this bad I can only imagine the drivers side isn't far off.

Could be the return hose for the ABS.

Dealership says it is a flex hose for the hydraulic system, so I guess I was correct. It is part #7L3Z2078L, retail $75.12. Tasca has it for $49.58. Gonna order it with a fuel filter and fix it myself, then follow up with a brake bleed since air is in the line already and there is no pressure. A little more costly than I expected, but doing it myself will be fine.

Just ordered. Will let you guys know how it goes. I never bled brakes before, but my bud has so it should be easy from what I have seen on YouTube. Also ordered a transmission filter since I intend to drop the pan, and have a drain bolt tig-welded into the OEM pan. $92 later and i'm off Tasca . Maintenance is worth it though for a good running/performing truck.

Hey Darren I think you would be crazy to not replace those with Stainless braided while they are off!

I just changed that installing my lift it came with a new hub and the line (hub = that bolt looking thin that connects to the bracket.

BTW you sure got a lot of rust in there mine does not look that bad at all and I'm in NY 0.o

Yeah it is pretty surface rusted. Kind of sad. My 2004 looked nothing as bad as this truck does. Have a feeling previous owner let the salt eat it in winters its first 4yrs... I am going to treat the frame to POR-15 this summer, but other components I am hoping are still mechanically in tact. I am surprised the fuel module has not been an issue yet.

I'll consider those braided lines. Right now, I just need to get it drivable cause its my only 4wd.
