Wheel Spacer Opinions...

My apologies if this is a topic that's been talked about a lot on here.

Anyways, I am looking to make my stance just a tad bit wider with maybe 2" spacers. I

Any haters or likers out there? I've heard numerous people say they screw things up and also heard numerous people say they don't cause problems like people say they do. I understand they wear out ball joints quicker but any other problems I should be aware about? I mean, I work 3 minutes from home and I don't drive like a maniac so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

My truck specs if needed:

89 F150 Reg cab LB
Lifted 9", 4.11 gears
Not straight axled

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Your wheels are already at 4.5" of backspacing, so adding a 2" spacer would be like having a wheel with 2.5", your wheel bearings are going to hate it. Personally I wouldn't do it for that reason alone, not including all the potential safety hazards.

I'd go with either a wider tire or a wider wheel and tire combo to get them to look wider.

With the offset you already have I wouldn't do it. But, if you're dead set on it only get ones that are hub centric. Meaning the adapter has an extended lip to keep it balanced and reduce the risk of vibration and potential problems.

And the ones that have new studs pressed in, and in this case cheap isn't always better.

Nope it sure isn't. Id say expect to spend at least 3-400 for a good set.
