Nitto ? (Replacing)

I was recently involved in a auto accident with my truck, I had the Trail Grapplers, 20" 35/12.5/20LT I had one tire that was punctured, differently not fixable, and one that hit a wall just some rubber got scrapped off of the side wall, anyways NEW Grapplers have 21/32 tire depth, mine have 8to9/32, I was told I would need to buy 2 new tires so my truck is not off balance and wear out the older tires quicker with just one new tire, vs having 2 new tires either in the front or just the back, is there any truth to this. Thank you for your time.

I think with you having less than 50% of original tread depth, I'd probably replace 2. Not an expert by any means, just makes sense. I just had to replace 1 of the Trail Grapplers on my truck for an irreparable puncture. My tires still had 16/32 tread depth though.

Sounds like the shop that just tried to sell you 2 tires actually backed the insurance company into buying 4 tires. That would be my stand.

I'd say 2 tires would be fine. I'd put the two new on the front and the two older ones on the back.

You should get 2 new tires so they are even. But save your extra tire and have it placed on your spare to give you a full size spare that is the same as your other tires.

A 35" tire probably won't fit up under the truck in the spare position. Also, I noticed he has 20's. Do they make the spare wheel in a 20?
