accident waiting to happen...

I know there are tons of threads on this but my 97 has the classic mushy spongy brake pedal. mc was replaced 2 years ago, rear brakes were just adjusted and in perfect working order last weekend along with new front pads rotors calipers and hoses. bled the brakes the old school way over and over and there is absolutely no air coming out of any bleeder. also replaces mc cap gasket. brake pedal goes past the gas pedal before the brakes start to work. basically wondering if adjusting the booster push rod works and if bleeding the abs module is necessary

Have you replaced your rubber flex lines?

They are a known issue with these trucks.

*Edited: Sorry I see now you did the front hoses. I would do the back too.

It is possible to get air in the ABS system but it is pretty rare but worth ruling out. It would need to be done by the dealer or a shop of equal caliber as sam1947 mentions below.

Could be air in the ABS system, that can only be bled with the dealers scan tool or an equivalent ABS scan tool that can open the valves in the ABS while bleeding. I doubt it's the rod, but I could be wrong without seeing the truck. Just my .02

what brand master? Is it a cheap unit?

I'd check the flex hoses too, need someone to push the brakes and visually watch the hoses for expansion.

Sometimes it is very hard to get all the air out of the system. I'd keep bleeding.
